For those of you interested in visiting our sister property, the Hassayampa Inn in Prescott Arizona — be  sure to catch the play about our beloved designer, Mary Jane Colter, at the Elks Opera House while you’re in town! Fred and Mary:  An Unconventional Romance by award winning playwright, Micki Shelton, re-imagines the relationship between Colter and pioneering hotelier Fred Harvey who has been credited with “civilizing” the West.  Click here for dates, show times and ticket information.

A century ago, the name Fred Harvey was synonymous with delicious food and stellar service in the West and along the ever expanding rail lines.  Saturday, June 30, recreate some of the dishes that made the Harvey Houses — including La Fonda on the Plaza — famous, at Las Cosas Cooking School.
