This month at Mama's Minerals you can learn to create intricate one-of-kind- embellished pendants with an introductory wire jewelry making class by Kelley Pounds. The class will be held on Wednesday, march 26 from 6- 8 p.m. Cost is $30 plus a $5 materials fee, and includes the wire and beads for two pendants. If jewelry isn't your thing, stop in to see a Mastodon mandible from the Pleistocene Period (2 million years ago), a stunning Ancyloceras Ammonite from the Cretaceous Period (245 million years ago), or just pick out a simple dinosaur egg for a loved one.

This unique "Rainwater" design by Navajo silversmith Murphy Platero is among the selection of fine Native American jewelry available at the Indian Shop at La Fonda. You can also choose from quality, affordably priced pottery, fetishes, rugs, flutes and southwestern items to add to your personal collection or give as a gift. If you are looking for western art, you will find original paintings and bronze sculptures by western artist Bill Chapppell featured in the lower level of the Indian Shop. Come Explore!
