Roasted Hatch Green Chile-Cranberry Relish
Yield 2 Cups
1 cup dried cranberries, steeped in 2 cups cranberry juice
1 cup roasted hatch green chile, small diced
¼ cup red onion, small diced
¼ cup dark molasses
½ tablespoon cumin
1 star anise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
¼ cup cornstarch slurry
salt and white pepper
1) Bring all ingredients (except for the cornstarch slurry) to a boil, turn down
to low simmer and simmer for 20 minutes.
2) Add cornstarch slurry until lightly thickened
