Street Feet is excited to announce that Kikanae Ole Pere, a leader from the Maasai tribe in Kenya, will visit the shop from 1 to 5 p.m. on April 10 to raise awareness about an important project that highlights the relationship between village women and an innovative Spanish shoe company, Pikolinos. Come see Street Feet’s collection of shoes from the
Pikolinos Maasai Project, which employs Maasai women to bead the company’s leather sandals in a fair-trade project that helps support 1,600 families. All of Pikolinos' profits from the shoes go to the tribe, which has been able to build clinics and schools with the money.
Kikanae Ole Pere will also visit Seattle and San Francisco before attending a gala fundraiser at the U.N. in New York City.
